Van Fan

My van has started making increasingly unhappy whining noises that roughly vary with acceleration but get worse when I steer. Initial supposition is that the power-steering pump is slowly dying. I hope it's nothing worse than that and that it holds on for another couple of days. I have an appointment with my regular mechanic in Fremont for him to look at it tomorrow, so I have to be up earlier than usual so I can get the van there and then catch a train to work as I did when I still lived up there. Yes, I like his work that much.
