Friday Night in Reno
Mar. 8th, 2013 10:15 pmHaving logged >40 hours by the time I knocked off for the night on Thursday, I had no compunctions about leaving work today around 3 PM or so and heading in to Reno with Lisa so that we could go a couple of stores that keep weekdays-9-to-5 hours. After completing the time-constrained shopping, we decided to go to the buffet at the Atlantis before doing our grocery shopping, and have concluded that the signs declaring it Reno's best buffet are probably right, at least among those that we've tried (which is quite a few over the years). Before leaving the Atlantis, Lisa played her favorite slot machine there, the Monkees, which hit its bonus feature fairly quickly, paying off $27.50 on a 30-cent bet, the net winning of which offset money she'd dropped in a machine in Fernley a few days ago when we were out on a walk after dinner.
We got most of what we set out to accomplish in Reno/Sparks done, although we ended up missing our trip to Grocery Outlet because they close at 8 PM instead of 9 like we thought. After our main grocery shopping at Winco and a brief stop at the Nugget in Sparks, we headed home. Real party animals we are on a Friday night.
