Pre-Holiday Shopping

Today we went in to Reno-Sparks to stock up on groceries. It has been weeks since we did a big shopping run (and Lisa couldn't for a while, with the sprained ankle), and we also were getting ready for Thanksgiving. However, after looking at the menu for Restaurante Orozko at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, we've decided that we'll have our Thanksgiving Day feast there instead of at home. However, Lisa does plan to prepare a big meal for Friday, where we will be Thankful that we're not out shopping on Black Friday.

(Alas, we'll have to go back in to Reno on that Saturday as there are things we were supposed to get today that we missed, and next Saturday will be our next window for getting them.)

Among our stops was an expensive one: Whole Foods Market. Not surprisingly, two bags of quality food from them cost as much as an entire shopping cart full from Winco. But the Whole Foods stuff is good, as we keep reminding ourselves when we eat the high-quality cheese and other premium foods.
