Domestic Duties
Jan. 4th, 2014 10:45 pmPutting aside fuming over entitled, self-centered twits for a while today, Lisa and I went into Reno/Sparks for various shopping errands. We started at Sandy's Electronics to buy a length of cable for a speaker-extension project Lisa has in mind. That was the main time-constrained goal (Sandy's closes at 5 PM), which when completed put us in a good position to get over to the Atlantis just in time for the start of the dinner service at the buffet at 4:30. Checking in with the affinity card, I got another 2-for-1 coupon, but it's only good for breakfast and lunch; however, that includes Sunday Brunch and is good for the rest of the month, so we can use it the next time I'm home later this month.
Full of food, we set off for our grocery shopping at Grocery Outlet and Winco, with a brief stop at Jo-Ann Fabrics in between (we needed some sticky-back Velcro for a project), followed by Office Depot for more Really Useful Boxes. With full stomachs from the buffet, we were able to resist impulse buying and stock up at Winco with only those groceries and household goods Lisa actually needs for the next two weeks while I'm gone. (She doesn't like going to Reno when I'm not here, although she does do so sometimes.)
It's my last night at home after a nice long three-week stay. I'm back to the Bay Area for the next two weeks starting tomorrow. See some of you at BASFA!
