Summer Rain

Rather unexpectedly, it has rained most of today here in Fernley. I'm not complaining, not one bit. It has cooled off wonderfully, and rain cuts down the dust. (We had a dust-storm warning yesterday.) Maybe we can get the house to shed some of this heat it has accumulated before warmer weather returns later this week.

Meanwhile, I'm concentrating on Day Jobbe as much as I can while still trying to make sure we pack everything we need for the Loncon trip next week. We're making lists and stacking piles of things in the living room as we think of what we need to take.

Also meanwhile, the birthday card I sent my sister (today is her birthday) came back to me today for want of postage. D'oh! I re-posted it, but also gave her a call to wish her a happy birthday. (She was born 23 days before my third birthday.) My nephew's birthday is next week. I hope I remember the postage on his card.
