I've been joking that I've been watching so much Australian Open tennis that I've developed tennis elbow, but unfortunately it's not completely a joke. I've got a very sore right elbow, probably from spending too much time at the computer.

But speaking of tennis, when Lisa and I went to Reno today to do the rest of the grocery shopping we didn't get done earlier in the week, we stopped to have dinner at the Peppermill. After dinner, I inquired of their sports book if they were offering bets on the tennis. They were not. (The Atlantis had offered wagers on the tournament a couple of years ago.) I had been considering putting down a small wager on Milos Raonic to win the tournament, especially when he's now that highest-ranked player in his half of the draw what with Novak Djokovic unexpectedly going out in the second round. I've a soft spot for Milos, in part because I reckon I've been physically closer to him than any other top-ranked player. That's because when he won the very last SAP Open in San Jose, he all but climbed over me (I'd been upgraded to front-row seats) when he won to get to his player's box where his parents had come down from Canada; it was, I think the first tournament he'd won where his parents were there to see it in person.) I was not, however, interested enough to go over to the Atlantis, as by the time we were done with dinner, it was getting late and we needed to finish our shopping and go home and batten down the hatches for the next storm, which is expected to arrive in a couple of hours as I write this.
