Expensive Trip
Jun. 7th, 2017 09:19 pmToday after work (that is, 3 PM) we drove into Reno to have the minivan's tires rotated and brakes inspected in anticipation of the trip to Tempe at the end of the month. The last rotation was about a year ago, before the Kansas City trip.
Double whammy:
1. The tires are too worn and had to be replaced. $550.
2. There are brake problems on the rear. Worst-case estimate is an additional $850.
The brakes are still serviceable, but definitely need the work done. We'll take the Astro to Big O on Monday to give them a couple of days to do the work.
This will be painful, but of course we need tires and brakes if we're going to take road trips.
