Reloading the Wood Box
Oct. 7th, 2018 05:41 pmThis afternoon, Lisa and I went to Lowe's and bought a bit of aluminum angle bar, which she cut in half and installed on the wood box's upper edges. The box is a bit wider than the lid, which has been allowing rain to leak. With the angle bar installed, it should cover the gap.
( Putting the Wood Away )
The weather forecast calls for dry weather for the next few days. Maybe we'll be able to get that part of the front porch repainted where we will move the small wood box. I'm expecting that we'll go buy a pallet of fire logs sometime next week and load the large box. Based on how things are cooling, we'll need the fireplace soon. We do plan to burn that cord wood. I think a couple of pieces date back to the very first large load of firewood we bought when we moved here, from a vendor in Fallon who is no longer in business.
