Threading the Weather Needle
Nov. 27th, 2018 06:14 pmThere are storms coming at us. Winter Storm Watches are up in the Sierra Nevada. Tomorrow looks to be better than Thursday, and there's a chance that the passes will be open without needing chains mid-day tomorrow. Therefore, I've arranged to knock off work at Noon and we'll head west then. We'll stop in Sacramento for the night (and I'll work on whatever Day Jobbe stuff is still left that evening) and continue on to Santa Rosa on Thursday morning after we visit my sister.
If the weather looks sufficiently bad that chain controls will be in effect over the top, we'll have to make the trip in Lisa's small orange pickup. We won't be able to make the decision until pretty close to the time we leave.
