Frozen Waterfall
Feb. 23rd, 2019 07:06 pmToday was a half-decent (no snow, no rain, above freezing) weekend day in a while, so Lisa and I went out for a bit of a drive. We went up to Sutcliffe on the shore of Pyramid Lake. The excuse was that the store there (and at Nixon) have the Dill Pickle Pringles that I can't find in Fernley, but of course the main reason was just to get out of the house for little while.
Driving back, we saw a striking thing on the mountains to the west of Sutcliffe, and I got off the highway to have a slightly closer look.
( Iced Over Waterfall )
We continued home after our brief joyride. People sometimes ask why we moved here. Well, not everyone is as enamored as we are of the scenery in these parts. We almost always see something unexpected even in places we've been before.
