Bringing the Heat
Oct. 23rd, 2020 04:07 pmNo, it didn't snow here, but it felt like it, as we got our first cold day after a series of (relatively) comfortable-to-warm temperatures. Last night the overnight low got down to +1°C. That meant the living room (also my home office) got sufficiently chilly that I plugged in the electric heater for the first time this season.
I mostly had today off (and will have every other Friday for the near future off as well, due to an approaching time-off "overflow"), except that for complex reasons I still had about 90 minutes of Day Jobbe from 4:30 to 6:00 AM, so I couldn't sleep in. After finishing that bit, I went back to bed, and while I wasn't able to sleep, I stayed in bed for a couple of hours because it was considerably warmer there than it had been in the living room. Once the small electric heater got things back up to a more tolerable-for-me temperature (around 18°C) I got back up and went about my (non-Day-Jobbe) business.
This afternoon, Lisa tackled more of the porch work. There turned out to be more paint-scraping and sanding to do. She says that maybe we can get to laying down sanding sealer tomorrow.
