Trimmed for Tonopah
Jun. 22nd, 2022 09:32 pmI wasn't quite due for a haircut, but I was getting close, and was probably doing to be due right in the middle of Westercon 74. My barber had an opening this morning at 8 AM, so I walked over to her shop and got tidied up a bit.
( The Tonopah Trim )
Gasoline prices have dropped a few cents, so I refueled the Astro after I came back from the barber, then got some perishable groceries for ourselves (most of our shopping this past two weeks has been for Westercon). Then I buckled down on doing what I hope will be the last of the layout for the Westercon 74 Program Book.
I got it done this evening and posted it for the committee to review. There were some minor typos here and there, but then one person spotted a massive layout error that meant I had to tear up seven pages of layout and start over. I got it done, and I'm glad it's fixed, but I wish I had not made the mistake in the first place. No, I'm not going to say what it was. If you're on the Westercon 74 committee/staff list, you know it. The rest of you don't need to know how ham-handed I was.
