Repairs to be Deferred

Last night, we put a load of dishes in the dishwasher, pressed start, heard the usual sounds from the machine, and went away. Coming back later, we found that it had completed the cycle but not washed the dishes. There was a little bit of water in the machine, but the dishwashing powder was undissolved. We tried again and got the same (no water) results. Lisa's initial guess is that there's something wrong with the water pump in the machine. However, as we're off to Costume-Con 39 tomorrow, there's no time to work on this until after we get back. It's not a catastrophe — I can of course wash dishes by hand — just annoying.
