Winnipeg Road Trip Fuel Summary
Aug. 11th, 2023 10:48 amI refueled the Astro today. Including some errands around town (which is why the distance doesn't match the 4005 miles I reported at the end of the trip), and accounting for the measurement and currency differences in Canada, the total fuel cost and economy for the Pemmi-Con trip was:
US$807.51
4026.5 miles (6480.0 km)
206.123 gal (780.261 l)
19.5 mi/gal (8.3 km/l)
That's surprisingly good mileage, given that we did use air conditioning part of the way (when it was working) and that we assumed that the fuel economy was being affected by the vacuum leak. This was probably influenced by us having to drive more slowly than me might otherwise have done to try and keep the noise down.
I'm still trying to recover from the trip. Twelve hours of sleep last night. Taking this weekend as easy as possible will help. I need to recover because a week from Friday I have another trip, although not a driving trip, about which I'll write in a few days.
