Road Closed

I went out to get some milk and other groceries today, driving the Rolling Stone. I ran into a detour, as there is road construction on Main Street (Old US-40, also US-95A/50A). You'd think I would have remembered this as there were numerous warning signs around town earlier this week. Instead, I had to deal with a rather circuitous detour, when if I'd remembered this I could have gone by way of I-80, going from exits 46 to 48. I've not taken that route to the other side of town since a major bridge rebuild project on the freeway started a few months ago; however, the section in question is done now and would have worked. There is still a partial closure at exit 48 (East Fernley), but it would not have affected my route.

After negotiating the detour and getting my groceries, I went back home via the freeway and all was well.
