Unloading the Wood

This morning, after the sun came out and the temperatures rose above freezing, Lisa and I unloaded the ton of firewood from the utility trailer to the wood box. After that, the weather was nice enough that Lisa got out the saw and with some help from me she cut down to burnable size the rest of the wood we salvaged from the clearance of the west lot. Waste not, want not, and we may get a day or two of heat out of the salvaged wood.

We have no plans for New Year's Eve this year, just like most years. But if we're up at midnight, we'll be on the lookout for fireworks, as people tend to shoot them off around here most years.
