Spring Sleet

No snow overnight, but there was rain and occasional sleet, and chain controls in the Sierra Nevada over Donner Summit, as temperatures here flirted with getting back down to freezing. As I predicted last night, I eventually got tired of not being able to feel my fingers and restarted the fireplace. The Duraflame kindling sticks I got from Lowe's work much better than the previous kind of fire-starters I was using.

The other way to stay warm is to stay in bed, and inasmuch as Lisa and I plan to make a wee-hours grocery shopping trip overnight tonight, the sooner I can get to bed to get a some sleep, the better.
