Pallet Cleaning
Feb. 10th, 2025 06:10 pmI need to go pay for another pallet of Press-to-Logs. When I got that new belt, I saw that they had one in their back lot. I hope it's still there so I can go pay for it for pick up on Thursday. (I have errands on Tuesday and Wednesday.)
The Press-to-Logs come on a pallet, and we have a pile of pallets from the past year of buying logs. This afternoon, Lisa, whose shoulder is feeling better, got out the reciprocating saw and set to cutting pallets down to pieces that will fit into the fireplace. I was still at work, and by the time I finished working and changing into my work clothes to go out and help, Lisa had finished with what she felt up to doing today. It wasn't the effort itself but the cold, with the temperatures just above freezing.
Besides a couple of pallets, she also was able to cut down to size a number of logs we have salvaged from our own lot and nearby. Waste not, want not.
