Today was the third of nine laser treatments to remove as much of my facial hair as possible. As usual, I put on the numbing ointment at home, then drove to the M-Spa where the nurse-technician put on my eye protection (metal eye covers) and proceeded to zap me.
( After the Zap )
As expected, as the number of dark hairs diminishes, the effectiveness of the treatment also declines, because it does not work as well on gray hairs. But I started going gray in my late twenties, which I know to be genetic as both my father and my mother's father had similar early graying. I postponed my gray hair a bit until after ConJosé in 2002, but I threw away the bottle of Grecian Formula the day after the convention, deciding that I did not need it anymore.
There's a bit more to tell here, but I'll leave it to
kayla_allen to give the behind the scenes, and that means you have to be a DW member and apply for access to her journal to read it.
