Kuma Bear Gets His Wish

Every time that Lisa and I order pizza, travelswithkuma asks for fish, and we never get it for him. Lisa decided to make pizza bread, and because we were out of all of the other toppings she would normally use (we've not done a proper grocery shopping run since we got home), decided to give in to Kuma Bear.



This is a salmon pizza, It consists of an Italian bread base with pizza sauce, topped with chopped red salmon and some grated cheese. I admit to being skeptical about it when it was first presented to me, but it was not bad.

Bear was happy with his share of fish pizza.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life was the salmon and boursin pizza from the (now long gone) Egyptian Pizza in Baltimore.

Interesting! "Campisi's Egyptian Restaurant" in Dallas is a long-standing go-to place for pizza. I wonder just how many Italians came to America by way of Egypt…

Last week I fueled up at a truck stop and discovered omelette pizza, which I'd not been aware of; this is basically a standard Canadian bacon & pineapple pizza with scrambled eggs in place of the pineapple. I got a slice for the sake of curiosity and while I won't be making a habit of this it wasn't bad or anything.
