Another Break in the Weather

kevin_standleeThe storms coming through northern Nevada slowed down a bit, giving us some space yesterday to make a quick run to Reno, or actually to Verdi (Gold Ranch) to buy some Mega Millions tickets. Things were quiet enough that I was finally able to redeem the winnings from last time around, which almost paid for the tickets I bought.
Today, I got some perishables and brought in more firewood. The idea is so that we can go for several days without having to leave the house, which is what the current forecast suggests is about to happen.
