Interim Day

kevin_standleeThis is the only full day in this Loscon/Westercon-SMOFcon period where I'm at home. I took today off from work so that I could sleep in. I'm glad I did that, not only because of my accumulated fatigue, but because it was still pretty cold. The thermometer in the living room was only up to +15°C, so staying under the covers was the warm option.
I continued to stoke the fireplace, and by this evening managed to get the living room up to +20°C. I spent much of the day catching up on communications, entering a mountain of receipts from the Loscon/Westercon trip into Quicken, doing laundry, and repacking for SMOFCon.
Just like last year's SMOFCon trip, the first leg of the journey is a Reno-Denver flight. That leaves at 5:15 AM, but there's no point in arriving before 4 AM when the security gates open. So as soon as I finish posting this, I'm heading to bed, as my alarm is set for 2 AM.
