kevin_standleeThe San Francisco 49ers, the #1 seed in the National Football Conference playoffs, had a little bit of a challenge taking on the #7 seed, the Green Bay packers.
I don't have television and was busy with Other Things when this game was going on, so I was able to watch the game highlights spoiler free.
So it was very exciting to me to watch the 49ers win. I'm glat that point spreads do not matter for my bet for "Who wins the Big Game." The 49ers were favored to win by 10 points, but won by only three points, 24-21. That means that if you had just bet on the result of that one game and had bet on the Packers, you would have won your bet because even though they lost, they lost by less than ten points.
In any event, my Big Game ticket required the 49ers to win the game yesterday (which they did) and also the next two games. The 49ers are going to have to play a lot better next weekend when they face the Detroit Lions in the NFC conference championship for a place in the Super Bowl the week after that.
According to BetMGM, the odds for the 49ers to go all the way are now +145 (Bet $100 to win $245), so my ticket at +170 (bet $100 to win $275; my actual bet is $50 to win $135) looks better.
All I need is for the 49ers to keep winning and I'll make enough to be able to forget that I forgot to claim my used crown from the second tooth.
Meanwhile, my replaced crowns still hurt, but not as bad as they did when they were installed last Tuesday.
