I recently posted a link in a locked entry to one of the amateur Doctor Who movies on which I participated back in 1987-89 in Chico (and Red Bluff). At least one person said she couldn't watch the videos uploaded to Vimeo, so I downloaded them and re-uploaded them to a playlist on YouTube.
The videos are not of the greatest quality. This was what we could manage at the time. What a difference thirty years makes!

Date: 2025-01-19 02:52 pm (UTC)A group up in Seattle did several amateur productions, including one with a female Doctor. I know some of the people who worked on it. Their productions had higher production values than we did, but we did pretty good for the time. Fortunately, our producer, Rick Hallock (he was best man at my wedding, and his wife Erlinda, who played the Doctor's companion in both our productions, and I were dating for a while long before that) had access to the Media Lab at CSU Chico, which helped. The one interior TARDIS scene was done completely in green-screen on the one morning where we managed to book some studio time. I remember us being under a lot of time pressure to get the scenes done because we only had one hour available to do them, and of course Erlinda and I were acting against a green screen and were having to block our movements against tape lines on the floor.
