Astro Mystery

The car shop called and informed me that the Astro started right up and they've driven it around. In order to test anything else would require a fishing expeditions. There are no failure codes in the computer, and nothing obviously wrong. For now, they'll let it sit overnight and try again tomorrow.

This is actually a bit worrisome. Intermittent failures are difficult to diagnose. If it works today, but then when you get to Reno, do your errand, and then it won't start, you're screwed.

As said elsewhere, I hope it doesn't start tomorrow and they can figure it out.

Yeah, that sucks. Still, it's a vehicle, not you or Lisa. Unknown causes of person problems are even worse. Not that you want to, but you get your money out of the AAA membership.

Any updates on the Astro mystery issue?

Not yet. I left them a message saying that a "mechanic friend" (because we figure they would ignore anything Lisa says because Girls Don't Know Anything About Cars) said, and I'm okay with them doing this, replacing the fuel filter and checking to make sure there is nothing wrong with the fuel pump. I'll call them again tomorrow if they don't call me.
