Summer Reconfiguration: Wood Box

It's only been a short time since the last fire in the fireplace, but Memorial Day is the "unofficial" start of summer, so it was time to reconfigure the front porch.



Lisa, without even asking me for help (which surprised me), moved the small wood box off the front porch. (There were only a couple of logs left in it, now returned to the main wood box.)



Lisa moved the small box down to its summer location, next to the large wood box. She also sanded the top of the large wood box in preparation for repainting the lid.

This gives us full use of the porch, preferably for sitting outside in the evening after things have cooled down a little bit. From here we can watch the birds in the East Lot.

So the porch faces east then, so no late afternoon / evening heat and really very little at all since midday? That's nice.

Yep, the porch is on the east side of the house, which was another factor in why we bought the East Lot. Evenings can be very pleasant.
