No Good Excuses

It's a lovely spring day here in the Bay Area. I have nothing scheduled this weekend. None of my requests for information from Gnomeward Bound that I need to finish the PR have been answered, so I can't get any work done on it. The SFSFC board of directors meeting minutes are almost finished, but I can't post things to the web site until Cheryl gets back next week anyway. I can work on installing the replacement hard drive from Dell in the evening, as it doesn't make loud noises to irritate the neighbors like running the vacuum cleaner does. This means there are no excuses to stop me doing spring household cleaning this weekend. I've made a list of things that need doing. They certainly should keep me busy through the weekend. Now I just need to step away from the computer and actually start working on oh-so-fun stuff like cleaning toilets and vacuuming floors.

Spring cleaning sounds much more preferable compared to the staircase I'm building out of RR ties in the backyard (or back-slope, if you get my meaning). The RR ties came from the San Francisco RR Museum, btw.

So you have a weekend with nothing to do and you arent coming here to play railroad games or Axis and Allies with Virtual Vikki?

And I'll have you know I did not just vanish off the face of the map. I became a world famous movie star in the years since you became 'pappa SMOF" and all. Well, ok world famous in a virtual world. Thats sort of like being world famous in Tibet. Still I have done quite well for myself and have organized three virtual sci-fi conventions of my own!

Say we need a fan guestof honor for this summer's ThereCon : )

Holy cow! There you are! I've sent you e-mails now and then but I guess they must all be out of date.

I don't use the Yahoo account very often -- it's mostly overrun with spam -- which is probably why I never saw the buddy request. And I don't use Y! Messenger (or any IM program actually), so I might never have noticed your add.

I'm sorry! It's frustrated me mightily that we dropped out of contact!
