From the photos in the collection, it looks like the name badges for the Japanese fans had their names in Japanese instead of English. Nobody commented about that?

Actually, each badge had the members' names twice: Gaijin had their names in large latin type, with a kana representation below in smaller type. Japanese had their names in large type, with a romanji representation in smaller type.

While I recognize the reasoning, I would have preferred that both representations have been in the same size and weight type. This would have made it easier for us trying to talk to someone with the other type of badge to read what amounts to the phonetic pronunciation of the other person's name.

And yes, some people did comment about it at the time, albeit not very loudly. (Lisa was really grumpy about it, but held her tongue except to me.) I think everyone was prepared to give this committee a whole lot of slack.
