After the travel stress (and illness) of the holiday season, it's something of a relief to spend an entire weekend with nothing more stressful than going grocery shopping. The weather turned nice enough today that I was even able to get in a post-lunch walk around Quarry Lakes Park. I took my meter with me (my schedule called for a one-hour-after-lunch blood sugar measurement), and was rather surprised when it came up with a reading of only 79. That's not dangerously low, but certainly lower than I expected. Guess that exercise was working.

Congrats on the effective control through diet and exercise. I had hypoglycemia and was able to control it so well through diet and exercise that I am able to eat a wide variety of foods now (as long as I don't over-do it and keep up with the exercise). This is spectacular. I am free of previous food avoiding habits and am able to experience the cuisine of my new country in its' fullest.

Good job! But don't overdo it.
