I don't get it, either, but anytime we've installed WinXP on any of these machines -- and we have several different installation disks -- it always defaults to all new windows maximized. You can resize those windows and it (usually) remembers the settings, but it drives Lisa frantic to have to do that with every new installation. However, preloaded clones of systems we've bought along the line don't have the problem.
