The Giants situation is potentially record setting in two ways.
First, if Atlanta loses tomorrow (and their game starts 2.5 hours before the Giants/Padres), it'll be the first time that two teams playing in the same ballpark on the final day of the season have both made the playoffs simultaneously (it's happened once before, but not on the last day).
Second, if Atlanta wins and the Giants lose, the Giants play the Padres in San Diego Monday. If they lose that, they play the Braves in Atlanta Tuesday. Should they manage to lose all three of those games, I'd have to replace the 2004 Yankees with them for "Worst Choke Ever"; they'll have failed to win five games in a row, any one of which would've advanced them.
