Keeping of the Keys

I called the storage locker place in Reno. For some strange reason, I kept getting routed to Public Storage, even though Moana Mini Storage is not part of their chain. I found an alternative number for the place (they run an apartment-management company from the same office), got through to them, and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with my account billing and that they do have a spare key to the locker. If I can't find the key they gave me, I'll forfeit the $10 deposit, but that's not really a big deal. I just have to come during office hours (8-5 M-Sa) and deal with it. And of course I have to send them $35 for the extra month of rent. What a pity; if we'd gotten to the locker about twenty minutes earlier on Saturday, the office would have been open and we could have resolved everything. As it is, I won't be able to do anything about it until I'm there again on a working day.

That kind of relatively simple issue often cascades annoyingly (like this). Ten dollars here, 35 there isn't too bad for you (or me), but it's a much bigger deal for some people.
