Coincidence Isn't Causation

This is now two consecutive weeks that there have been city-wide Reno-Sparks events cancelled due to mayhem: two weeks ago the crash at the Reno Air Races and now this past weekend the cancellation of the motorcycle festival due to a fatal shooting. The fact that I've been passing through is sheer coincidence, obviously. But since I'll probably be going through again on Friday, Reno-area residents might want to take cover just the same.

If the Worldcon had fallen victim to it, then I'd worry.

I'm just relieved that I wasn't passing through the Nugget at the time of the shooting there. The smoke was bad enough.

Well, according to the official Reno events page, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus opens there on Friday. So many possible mishaps...
