I find that I do have a PDF-to-GIF/PNG/JPG converter after all, so if you want to send me ads for the Tonopah Westercon Program Book as PDF, I may be able to handle them.

Remember that the usable page size (after the margins) is 7 1/2 inches high by 4 1/2 inches wide (a US letter sheet folded in half with 1/2-inch margins). Ads in proportion to that are appreciated since it makes it much easier to fit them.

Did you get the link I sent last night, or should I re-send to the Gmail account?

I did, and replied to it. What I got was gray-on-black, almost impossible to read. Send me the PDF and I'll see what I can do with it.

That's odd, it was created as a black-on-transparent PNG file. I'll recreate it as a black-on-white JPG when I get home tonight. (Checking my spam filter to see where your response might have gone, because I never saw it.)

I put a bug in Lance Moore's ear about a Westercon 66 ad. It seems appropriate that we should be in every Westercon 65 program book. :)

Already done and placed. We figure the weirdness that led to the Westercon 63 Business Meeting in Pasadena voting to award the convention to Tonopah inspired something similar in San Jose the following year.

I have inquired and discovered that OryCon does not have a simple line art ad this year, only a visually complex and artistic creation. It's unlikely that I'll find time to make up a spoof OreCon ad soon, although the thought crossed my mind. It's good to hear there's going to be an ad for some WesterCon 66 somewhere in the book.
