Deadline Day

You can put it off no longer: today is the last day to vote on the 2013 Hugo Awards. You have until 23:59 (11:59 PM) Central Daylight Time tonight. I know I go on like a broken record about this, but after people I know missed nominating because they blithely assumed that the deadline was in Pacific Time despite everything on the ballot saying otherwise, I want people to be sure they know that if they wait until after 10 PM on the US West Coast, they're going to miss the deadline.

If you haven't voted, avoid the Deadline Doom and vote earlier in the day. That way you'll not be caught out if you have a local computer or internet failure at the last minute.

I managed the day before, but Lisa got hers done in the last hour as well. I talked her through it over the phone.

I started voting early in the sign up time, the fan categories and the Dramatic Awards didn't need a lot of research. And as I figured out each category I filled it in. By the last day, it was final tweaking and send myself a copy so I could remember how I voted.
I love that if I didn't get Round Tuit, and never "Completed" my voting, everything I had done up to then would be counted without my going back to the website.
I really like how the electronic voting was set up for this year, and I hope they use the same program again. It was very convenient.
And yes, I posted a big Thank You on Facebook. So that they would know.

Ditto on pretty much everything you said. I especially appreciated that there was no need to complete the voting, as I was traveling abroad on the day of the deadline and wasn't sure whether I'd have net connectivity. And on the other hand, as it turned out I did, and so was able to fill in one more category based on the stuff I read on the road. Excellent.
