Business Meeting Orientation Video
May. 6th, 2015 07:39 amI'm considering trying to write and produce a short introductory video to Business Meeting basic procedures. Not the detailed technical rules, but basic decorum like "stand to be recognized" and "one speaker at a time." If I could write the script, it occurs to me that maybe some folks attending this year's Westercon Business Meeting might be willing to stick around after the (likely very short) meeting and help shoot the footage demonstrating basic procedure on being recognized and how voting works. If you're planning on attending Westercon and would like to help, I'd like to know.
It would also of course give Lisa a better chance to field-trial the new camera and for me to get the hang of some of the conversion and editing software.

Date: 2015-05-07 05:29 pm (UTC)I was thinking mainly of people who would be coming to the BM to watch and vote without any specific agenda beyond "this is an important thing and I ought to show up and participate". In the current context, expecting that many people will be prompted to participate by Puppygate, you may want to focus on different things. Just please at least make sure to include a demonstration of serpentine voting, it would save so much time if everyone could arrive not needing that explained...
