His Lordship's Manor House
Mar. 28th, 2017 06:34 pmOn Sunday morning when I was walking after breakfast, I got a good photo of a distinctive house that looks out over Fernley.

At the right in this photo across the fields and lesser houses you see perched on a hill an oversized house. We don't know much about it, other than it really stands out. This photo makes it look smaller than I think it is. Someone built a huge house on the hill, and because of the way it dwarfs the other buildings below it, Lisa and I have called it "His Lordship's Manor."
Even if Lisa and I had the resources to buy the land and build a house like that, we wouldn't; not there, at least. We like our house, and we like our view of the railroad tracks.

Date: 2017-03-29 01:15 pm (UTC)Based on what we paid for our house and what we've seen advertised for places around here, to get Bay Area equivalent pricing, add one more zero to the end of the price of all houses around here.
