No, I don't have mice in my van's rear end, but it is making the occasional squeak when I back out of a parking space. I hope that just means it needs routine brake service, and have made an appointment with the mechanic who knows my van better than anyone -- he replaced the engine several years ago.

Lucky me. I took the Civic Hybrid in for 105K service today. The guy called me back a few hours later and said he misquoted the service fee. Instead of only $540, its now $790. And me out of warranty )^: Plus, they don't even have the parts and have to special order them from Honda. Drat!

I, on the other hand, took my car into the shop last week to discover that I'd blown out both turbos. Fortunately, my trusty extended warranty on the Audi meant that it cost me nothing except a day of rental car...and Audi, after not completely fixing the turbos the first time, picked up the cost on a (much better) rental car the next time.

Audi has definitely earned my loyalty. My S4 has been a great car. Even if I can't afford the next-gen of it, I'll happily buy another Audi.
