Ouch

I have not been having a very good week here at Fernley House. This afternoon, while coming down the stairs, I missed the next-to-last step and went sprawling into a heap after bouncing off the bookshelf at the base of the stairs. I'm not seriously hurt — the worst was a bit of carpet-burn from when I broke my fall with my right hand — but it's certainly annoying.

It's almost as if the house has it in for you for some reason.

Is there something you've been intending to do to the house, that the hose thinks is overdue...perhaps?
