While flipping through the channels this evening, I stumbled across KCSM, one of the Bay Area's "forgotten" PBS stations, showing Huey Lewis and the News - Live at 25, a concert they did up in Chico in December 2004 at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. I'd forgotten how much I like Huey Lewis and the News, and I happily sat through the whole show, pledge breaks and all.

I wish I'd known about this concert back in 2004 -- I would have made an effort to attend it, as it would have included an excuse to get back to Chico, where I went to college and lived for about five years, not to mention see a group perform that I like.

Seems to me, years ago when one could actually get concert tickets at a reasonable price and actually get concert tickets, we saw Huey Lewis and the News in concert. It had to be in Tennessee. It's been ages since we've been to a rock concert. They had a good show. Ah, that was the day - concerts didn't have high prices and the average person could actually buy a ticket.

I always did like Huey Lewis and the News, as well.

A few months ago, I was flipping though the channels (this was before I got cable, which now almost exclusively stays on ESPN, HGTV or Animal Planet, but I digress). Anyway, on PBS, they were showing KC and the Sunshine Band in concert in Vegas, and I was rocking around the house listening to that music! Took me back a ways. I never did see them in concert, though. BTW, KC was from Hialeah, FL (a suburb of Miami, very close to where I grew up).

I like Huey Lewis and the News as well. So does Moose, so he does translate well to the next generation.
They haven't been around for 25 years? *sniffle*
I'd feel old, but then again I went to see Paul McCartney's Tour last November. He turned 64 in June. ;P Boy, is everyone razzing him!
