Match Game: Call for Questions
Sep. 25th, 2008 02:34 pmWe have a new Match Game SF show scheduled for SiliCon on Sunday, October 3, 2-4 PM in Siskyou/Donner Pass Ballroom -- the "main event" space, so I hope we have a good turnout.
Once again, I'm looking for contributions of SF/F-themed questions for the show. Yes, we have lots of questions in storage, but most of our panelists have heard them at least once, and while the audience may not have heard them before, it's hard on the panelists to keep giving them the same material over and over again. (If I do a show with a completely fresh group of panelists, I'm likely to mine the old material.)
Match Game questions are fill-in-the-blank questions where there multiple good answers to fill the blank, usually with plenty of double entendres. Example:

The Starfleet admiral said, "Captain Kirk has the biggest ____ in Starfleet!"Notice that there is no "right" answer here. Match Game isn't a trivia contest. The object is for the contestant to figure out how the panelists answered the question.

Bad: Einstein said, "God does not play ___ with the universe."You can e-mail me your questions at my LJ handle @ LiveJournal.com. If we use your question in the show, you'll get credit in the show closing titles, and one of our Lovely Parting Gifts (suitable for wearing on membership badges).
Good: Einstein said, "God does not play dice with the universe; however, he does play ___ with it."
