More Match Game Questions Needed

My current calendar of future Match Game SF shows is:

• SiliCon 2009, October 2-4, 2009 San Jose CA


• Norwescon 33, April 1-4, 2010, SeaTac WA


• Westercon 63 ("Confirmation"), July 1-4, 2010, Pasadena CA

Although I've been known to re-use questions (the tie-breakers haven't changed much for the last several years since we don't use them often), it would definitely help if we could get some fresh material. Questions should be fill-in-the-blank SF/F-themed questions, and they shouldn't be trivia questions. That is, there's no single right answer. For example:

Bad question: "Einstein said, 'God does not play ___ with the universe.'"

Good question: "Einstein said, 'God does not play dice with the universe. He does, however, play ___ with it.'"

So if you have questions you'd like to suggest, please send them to me. My LJ handle @livejournal.com will work if you don't have any other address for me.

Yard Work is Hard

Every year or two, Lisa takes a crack at pruning back the growth that threatens to completely overwhelm the back yard of the old house in Mehama. Apparently this year she decided to have Kuma Bear document the work, because she sent me this video of the results.

Incidentally, this doesn't mean that Lisa has acquired an e-mail address. She's using one of her father's computers and TransferBigFiles.com to send me the videos and pictures she's been taking up there. Unfortunately, it takes a long time to transfer the video files out of the camera into the computer, which has only a USB version 1 interface.

One Mystery Solved

The multi-card reader has turned up in a box of computer gear that I left in Oregon. The single-card reader for Lisa's camera sticks has not, unfortunately, and the current model of the same device doesn't suit her as well as the original.
