Broken Glasses Revisited

I thought they could just replace the earpiece on these glasses, but they tell me that they'd have to replace the entire set of frames. In that case, I might as well hold these glasses together with tape for as long as I can, make an appointment with my optometrist, and start the process of getting new glasses rolling. I need to check when I last bought glasses. I hope it has been two years so that my insurance will cover it.
