For the tiny number of you who read this LJ but don't follow Cheryl's Mewsings, may I recommend that you go listen to Tony, Jonathan & Cheryl Do The Hugos, a discussion between Cheryl, Johnathan Strahan, and Tony C. Smith on Star Ship Sofa about the 2010 Hugo Award nominees. I downloaded the podcast and listened to it while doing my post-lunch walk today. (It's about 45 minutes long.) That's something you can't do with a written fanzine, I reckon, unless you want to walk into light poles and such.
I enjoyed their discussion very much, but I do want to make a fine distinction that Cheryl tried to make when it came up in the discussion: I do not have a Hugo Award. I have a 2002 Hugo Award trophy, one of the two spares left over from ConJosé. It's not quite the same thing. It's much more difficult to obtain a trophy the way I did than the usual method, and I don't recommend it for its own sake.
