I'm moving as many of my photos and videos off of my hard drive and on to DVD-ROMs as I can. I don't access many of them that often, and they are taking up a pretty large chunk of my hard drive. With my hard drives acting suspiciously, I want to remove anything I don't have to have on them and put them in "offline storage" if for no other reason than it will cut down the amount of time it takes to clone/restore my drives in case of another failure.
Alas for DVD-ROMs only holding 4.7GB; I'm trying to figure out how to make the most effective use of the disks while copying some really large videos, like the raw videos I shot for the WSFS Business Meeting and Hugo Awards Ceremony last year.
