Somehow in all of my walking around the past couple of days, I seem to have bruised the top of my foot. I have it wrapped in a compression bandage when I'm walking and am resting it when I can, but that is why you're apt to see me limping around a lot.

Room Shuffle
Aug. 15th, 2011 08:46 pmLooks like we're going to have to shift rooms on Tuesday after all. The front desk agent who checked us in yesterday was trying too hard to be helpful because the room into which I was blocked wasn't yet ready that she ended up putting in a place where we shouldn't be for the rest of the week. So sometime tomorrow we'll get a call saying, "Ready to move you when you are" and a bellman will come with a cart to help us shift stuff.
There's a bunch of stuff we probably would have left in the vehicles if we had know we were going to have to move because we don't need them until Thursday. But we'll survive.
I suppose some of this was my fault for showing up before noon, but if the agent had said, "Your room won't be ready until 3 PM," I would have understood it. Oh well.
On the way back from Fernley this afternoon, we stopped by the storage locker and picked up more things that we'll be needing later in the convention. The big day of locker work is Saturday afternoon, however, when we get the Match Game gear and move over to the Peppermill.
Once again, instead of taking advantage of the restaurants around here, we bought groceries and ate sandwiches. After the day we had today, we didn't have enough stamina for anything else. I'm going to try to get to sleep early again. At least tomorrow we don't have another early-morning wake-up call.
