Not Quite Rain
Jun. 10th, 2020 08:00 pmAfter dinner on Wednesday, Lisa and I went for a walk as is our common practice. Clouds had moved in, making the temperature much more pleasant. It looked like it was going to rain, though.
( Virga All Around )
Despite the signs of rain all around, none of it fell on us as we did our evening walk. Lisa speculates that the built-up section of Fernley (such as it is) generates more heat than the surrounding areas because there is more paved land here, and that causes a heat shaft that keeps this sort of light rain away.
[Forgot to actually post this on Wednesday, so I'm back-dating it.]
