Looking for Lights
Dec. 23rd, 2020 02:06 pmI'm glad that I took the pictures of Tumbleweed Man on Sunday, because by the time we went out last night to go look at local Christmas lights, it was gone, a victim of the high winds we had on Tuesday.
The subdivision in Fernley where they generally go all-out on lights for the holiday did not disappoint. Even more houses than usual had light displays, and as far as I can remember, they were not just last year's lights in the same configuration. That is, people were trying to show some variety. Even most of the houses that didn't make an effort to make Fernley look like Glitter Gulch put up a few lights.
In previous years, we've gone all around town — and Fernley covers a fair bit of area — to look for more lights, but we weren't feeling quite up to it last night.
