kevin_standlee: (Snow Day)
Much of yesterday's snow melted, but we had a bit more overnight.

Enough to Need Sweeping )

I called Big R to see if they had any more fire logs, and discovered to my dismay that not only do they not have any left, they don't plan on ordering any more this winter. The same went for Renner Equipment in Fallon, which sells the North Idaho logs we've also used. Apparently it's too late in the winter to buy firewood other than wood pellets, which don't seem to ever be out of stock. That's not great news, for at the current rate we were burning wood, we may only have about two or three weeks' supply left, and I'd hoped to finish the "fire season" with a supply left over for this autumn. Instead, we're probably going to finish with nearly nothing in storage and have to hope that Big R starts stocking logs again before we need them later this year.

In the meantime, I'm trying to cut back on consumption, and have put on a sweater. After all, there's only a few more weeks before spring, right? Soon enough, I'm going to be complaining about the heat and getting the swamp cooler reconditioned for summer.
