Yesterday, we had a light snowstorm pass through, with bitterly cold wind and blowing snow. I'm glad we did the grocery shopping some hours earlier before the snow and wind arrived. No snow stuck to the ground, because the air temperatures were above freezing; however, the cold wind sucked all of the heat out of the house and I was glad we bought more firewood so that I could put more logs on the fire.
Speaking of logs, this afternoon, we moved the last of the Pres-to-logs from the large woodbox to the small one on the front porch. I expect we'll run through that by the end of this week, but we should be okay because of the additional Sis-Q-Logs (same idea; pressed-sawdust fire logs) we bought a while ago. Fingers crossed that we have enough firewood to last for the remainder of the season for needing it. OTOH, I saw another pile of Sis-Q-Logs over at Grocery Outlet yesterday, so if necessary we can go get some more while their supply lasts.
